James Weaver for Council offers an SMS/text messaging program to provide supporters with campaign updates, event reminders, volunteer opportunities, get-out-the-vote information, and other election-related messages.

  • Opt-In and Consent: By providing your mobile phone number and checking the consent checkbox on our opt-in form (or otherwise explicitly consenting), you agree to receive autodialed and/or automated calls and text messages from James Weaver for Council at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchasing goods or services (though donations may be solicited in some messages).

  • Message Types: Messages may include campaign news, alerts, reminders to vote, event invitations, volunteer calls-to-action, fundraising appeals (where permitted by law), and responses to your inquiries.

  • Message Frequency: Message frequency may vary based on campaign needs (e.g., higher during election periods). We do not guarantee a specific number of messages.

  • Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. We are not responsible for any charges you incur.

  • Opt-Out Instructions: To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message we send. You will receive a confirmation message. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS from us (though you may still receive other communications if you have consented separately).

2. SMS-Specific Disclaimers

  • No mobile information will be shared by us with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared by us with any third parties (except as required for service providers under strict confidentiality to facilitate messaging, or as required by law).

Any donation requests comply with applicable federal and state election laws. We do not guarantee tax-deductibility (as this is a political campaign). All donations are voluntary.
